Road kill on the menu?

Hello again friends, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 11:00PM—we've obtained some exclusive information about the 12-year old Carteret County girl who was taken to Florida by a much older man. She told police she wanted to marry 38-year old Timothy Newman. Tonight, the girl's father tells us what's going on inside the investigation.

A Charlotte couple wins a large monetary verdict against a local bar. Matthew and Meredith Eastridge were hit by a drunk doing 100 mph on Providence Road. Meredith was pregnant and lost the baby. The Eastridge's sued the bar for providing too much alcohol to the man who hit them.

We didn't see this one coming-- the wife of a man convicted of stabbing their young twin daughters says her husband should be released from prison. Kim Crespi says her husband was under the influence of anti-depressants when he killed his 5-year old girls in his home in 2006. She plans to hire a lawyer to get his murder conviction overturned.

A Chinese restaurant is accused of serving road kill on its menu. We'll tell you how an alert patron spotted what they were doing.

    Huntersville Fire Department responded to a fatal car crash on I-77 N near Exit 25 north around 4:30 a.m. Officials say three cars were involved in a crash that left one person confirmed dead on the scene. A second person was transported for potentially life threatening injuries.
