"It's great to be back in Charlotte," he said." I got to see Mayor Foxx back stage, and what a great Mayor.
Considering that so many feel the upcoming election is about the economy, the President's running mate wasted no time talking about helping the middle class, but did he make a campaign mistake.
"How they can justify, how they can justify raising taxes on the middle class that's been buried the last four years. How in Lord's name can they justify raising their taxes with these tax cuts," Biden said.
As much as this was a campaign visit, the goal is shore up the Democratic Party's base and that's why frequent reminders came regarding October 12th, as the end of voter registration, and October 18th which is the first day of early voting.
Reverend DeWayne Walker of Charlotte's Little Rock AME Zion is part of an early voting effort called souls to polls.
He said, "As a matter of fact, we're gonna do stroll to the polls. We're leave the Little Rock property and walk to the voting place."
The vice president also took Romney to task over his remarks regarding America's 47 percent, which is a remark that angers voters like Dick Robbins. " I was very disgusted with it, when I heard it. When they first played the tape,"Robbins said.
In the end Biden thanked the crowd of enthusiastic supporters. "Folks we need you. We need you. Together we win North Carolina, and we'll win this election because we'll win North Carolina," he said.
