Joe Biden to visit Charlotte today just weeks after DNC

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - As North Carolina shapes up to be Presidential battleground state, the White House sends out Biden to get the word out.

It's only been a few weeks since the DNC was here in the Queen City, but with the latest polls giving the win to Mitt Romney by four points, it's "all hands on deck" for the Democrats.

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Charlotte this morning talking to a group at the NC Music Factory about taxes, the economy and most assuredly Romney.

But you can't just walk up and get in the event.  Tickets were handed out days earlier, and they turned out to be the hot item around town.

The event is scheduled to start around 11:00 Tuesday morning, and traffic from Charlotte/Douglas International Airport where Biden will land to the Filmore is expected to be heavy.  Drivers are encouraged to pack some patients.

After the even, the White House says Biden will then travel to UNC-Ashville to talk to a group of supporters there.
