V.P. Biden Visits Charlotte Today

A lot is happening today that we'll tell you about on the newscast this morning. 

We've started the day with fog, low-lying clouds, and rain in the area.  Al Conklin will tell us what we can expect today as you prepare to head out this morning.

Cam Man Ron Lee is live with details of Vice-President Joe Biden's visit to Charlotte today.  The eyes of the political world are certainly on Charlotte and North Carolina...as we look to be a swing state in the election.

Another interesting political story from Astrid Martinez this morning...all-new for the morning show.  Astrid is talking to local business owners...many of them undecided voters...about the impact the economy is having on their businesses and how that's going to influence them when they head to the polls this November.

An emotional vigil held in Charlotte last night...for the 17 year old who was shot and killed after the suspects in the case say he "disrespected" them in front of a girl.

A second arrest has been made in the case of a South Carolina couple who were found murdered while vacationing in the Caribbean.

Video you have to see this morning!  We'll show you the huge fire that broke out following an explosion at an auto racing fuel plant near Winnipeg that forced hundreds of people to evacuate the area.

The 75-year-old Virginia Paper Company building is scheduled to be torn down today...to make room for the new Charlotte Knights stadium in uptown Charlotte.
