CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Since 1978 people in Charlotte have been walking as a part of the Crop Walk to end hunger. Since then Charlotte has raised over $6 million to relieve hunger, with $1.6 million staying in the community.
This year's walk, the Charlotte CROP Hunger Walk 2012 will take place on October 14th starting at 2:30pm. It begins on Elizabeth Avenue between Hawthorne Lane and Charlottetowne Avenue.
