CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Expect delays near uptown on Saturday as utility work begins at the intersection of Hawthorne Lane and East 7th Street around 12 p.m.
The intersection will re-open at 6am on Monday, October 1st. Some alternate routes would include East Fifth Street, North Caswell Road, Pecan Avenue and Central Avenue.
Additional utility work will begin on Monday, October 1st at Hawthorne Lane between East Seventh Street and East Eighth Street, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 1, through Friday, October 5.
Expect one lane in each direction at 6:00 a.m. each day and one southbound lane each night at 6:30 p.m. Some alternate routes would include East Fifth Street, North Caswell Road, Pecan Avenue and Central Avenue. use caution in the area.
