Hackers are targeting big banks. You may have had trouble logging into your account this week.
Customers have now reported problems online with Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and there is a threat against PNC.
We asked WBTV Cyber Expert Theresa Payton who is behind the attacks. She says most signs point to groups in the Middle East.
Payton explained, via Skype, that law enforcement and banking leaders are working hard to thwart the attacks. Still she offered advice for customers.
She says always have a back-up plan so you can ensure access to your money. Have paper checks on hand and keep all of the phone numbers of your financial institutions in a place where you can find them.
