Police say they found a man in a hospital nearly a week after he disappeared from a high school reunion party in Charlotte's uptown.
Thirty-eight-year-old Gerald McNeely was located Thursday morning at Presbyterian Hospital where he is being treated for a severe concussion.
Police say McNeely has been missing for six days - last seen in the EpiCentre in uptown Charlotte attending a 20 year high school reunion for East Mecklenburg High School.
The party happened Saturday night.
McNeely was last seen by former classmates near BlackFinn American Saloon, the site of the reunion, around 10:45 PM Saturday.
It is still not clear what happened to McNeely between the party and showing up at the hospital injured.
WBTV has learned that McNeely sent two text messages from his phone early Sunday morning, but did not respond to any messages or calls.
He had not made contact with anyone since those two messages at approximately 10:30 AM on Sunday the 23rd, police confirm. His phone has been off since later that night and now goes directly to voice mail.
Friend and former classmates who were at the Class of 1992 reunion said they and his family were very worried about him.
