STANLY COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
A man was arrested Wednesday for a sexual assault against a juvenile, according to the Stanly County Sheriff's Office.
On September 11, the deputies received a report of a sexual assault involving a juvenile victim. Detectives conducted an investigation of the incident and identified the perpetrator as Tommy Wayne Lee, 21, of Albemarle, officials said.
Upon completion of the investigation, Lee was charged with five counts of statutory rape of a person who is 13, 14 or 15, and five counts of 1st degree kidnapping.
Lee was taken to the Stanly County Detention Center and issued a $1,000,000 secured bond. His initial court appearance is scheduled for October 15.
