Making an Asian Cucumber Salad

Student chef Alex Lozano, from Johnson and Wales University, stopped by the WBTV studio Tuesday and showed us how to make an Asian Cucumber Salad.

Asian Cucumber Salad

Prep time: 10-15 minutes

Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

Cucumber - 3 ea

Soy sauce - 1/8 cup

Rice wine vinegar - 1/8 cup

Sesame oil - 1 Tbsp

Sugar - 1 Tbsp

Crushed red pepper flakes - 1/4 tsp (pinch)

Juice, Lime - 1/2 each

Coriander - 1/2 tsp

Salt - TT (about 1 tsp)

Preparation:

  1. Cut cucumber in half lengthwise and thinly slice on a bias.
  2. Combine all ingredients in bowl.
  3. Season to taste.
  4. Serve, using a slotted spoon.
