A Catawba County pastor is facing charges after court documents show he sent explicit text messages and tweets to a young girl, who was a member of his church.
Police in Newton charged 38-year-old William Moss with indecent liberties with a child - a 13 year old girl.
According to court documents, the girl told police Moss touched her and kissed her. Police began investigating the case in July 2012 after a social worker contacted them. The girl's mother also went to police.
According to documents, Moss said he and the girl started out having a "father daughter relationship". But according to relatives of the alleged victim, the married Pastor started sending the girl sexually explicit tweets and texts. The girl's mother confronted the pastor and told him "he didn't need to preach, minister or counsel anyone in the Church until he received the help that he needed".
Court documents show Moss texted the girl and told her "Babe everything in me wants to be with you. I want you to be MINE.. I want us to be together be a couple..hell eventually my wife". He allegedly also texted her and said "I'd want you to have my baby.. no adoption.. you receiving my seed
Moss is being held on $100,000 bond and is due in court Wednesday.
