Investigation underway after Boy Scout falls to his death

Hello again everyone, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 5:00PM—have you ever gone hiking at Stone Mountain State Park which straddles Wilkes and Alleghany Counties, about 90 minutes north of Charlotte?  Tonight, the Boy Scouts have launched an investigation after a teenager from Kannapolis fell to his death there.  I've stood on top of the face of Stone Mountain and the precipice is not something you want to get very close to.  Our reporter Dedrick Russell is getting the latest on how this tragedy could have happened.

Gunfire at a security checkpoint at the Philadelphia Airport caused a panic.  Apparently, a loaded gun was spotted by x-ray in a carry-on bag.  That bag belonged to a flight attendant. When a TSA agent tried to unload it, it fired.

A Carolina Panthers player is part of a push to get more African Americans to donate blood.  Coleen Harry will have a live report.
