(WMC-TV) – Fire crews rushed to a car fire at the Walgreens drive-thru on Germantown Parkway and Macon Road.
An Action News 5 viewer sent us a photo of the fire. In the picture, you can see dark smoke billowing from the car.
Walgreens employees say the car blew up and the woman driving was able to get out in time. According to Wayne Cook with the Memphis Fire Department, the woman was elderly and was taken to the hospital for high blood pressure.
No firefighters or employees were injured in the fire.
Walgreens employees say the drive-thru is closed but the store and pharmacy are still open.
