Police in Mt. Holly say a woman was killed in an early morning crash Tuesday.
Officers responded to the crash on North Main Street (NC 273) near Walnut Avenue in Mt. Holly at about 1:13 a.m. They found a 2003 Mercury that had run off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
Police said Jessica Lamberth Crisp, 29, of Mt. Holly was driving the vehicle. She did not have a pulse. First responders tried to save her, but it was too late.
Investigators are awaiting word from the Medical Examiner on the official cause of death.
There is a memorial page on Facebook for Crisp. Friends call her a "...wonderful person and great mom".
