CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Two men were arrested in north Charlotte Monday after they robbed a man at gunpoint outside a convenience store.

Quentin Stowe, 18, and Rasheed Massey, 16, are charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy, according to a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Officers were called to a convenience store on the 5000 block of Statesville Road at 5 p.m.

A man told police he pulled in to park in front of the store when the two teens approached him at gunpoint and wanted his money and cellphone.

They took his property and ran north on foot.

During the investigation, officers were able to identify one of the suspects, and responded to his home on Prairie Valley Dr.

When officers arrived,  they observed two individuals matching  the description of the robbery suspects. Officers approached the men and the suspects ran from officers through neighboring yards.  Officers established a perimeter and took both suspects into custody a short time later.

The victim was able to positively identify the men as the suspects who robbed him.  Officers also recovered the weapon used in the robbery in the one of the yards the suspects ran through.
