Women used counterfeit cash to purchase jewelry at Belk, police say

Watauga County Crimestoppers and Boone Police seek the public's assistance in solving the following crime:

On August 16, 2012, two females purchased a watch at Belk department store in Boone using three counterfeit $100 bills. One of the females attempted to return the watch at a Belk department store in Greensboro on August 25, 2012, but was unsuccessful. The female was seen leaving the store in a blue SUV, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder.

Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959 or the Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900.  All information will be kept confidential.

Crimestoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons.
