KANNAPOLIS, NC (WBTV) -
A man was arrested Thursday after investigators found 40 pounds of marijuana in his home, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office Special Investigative Unit served a search warrant at a home on Russell Farm Road, in Kannapolis Thursday.
Forty pounds of marijuana were seized during the search, investigators said. The wholesale value of the marijuana seized is $40,000.
Ismael Garcia Gonzalez, 31, of Wilkinson Street in Kannapolis, was taken into custody after the search.
Gonzalez was charged with trafficking in marijuana, and was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center, with no bond and a hold for immigration.
