LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
Lincoln County Sheriff's Detectives charged a Gastonia man with the sexual assault of a teenage girl on Tuesday.
Cedrick Marquice Delon Wilson, 20, of Butterfly Court, in Gastonia, was charged with one felony count of statutory rape/sex offense of a person 13, 14 or 15 years of age by a defendant more than six years older.
The incident occurred between June 1, 2012 and July 19, 2012 at the home of the victim, who is 13 years old. Wilson and the victim knew each other, deputies said.
On August 3, Wilson was arrested by the Gaston County Sheriff's Office on misdemeanor larceny, probation violation and failure to appear warrants. He was turned over to Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Detention Center on September 11, after serving a 30 day sentence on the Gaston County charges. .
He is being held under a $100,000 secured bond at the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.
