New Outreach Christian Center is carrying on its Thanksgiving tradition, and feeding those in need.
Wednesday night, from 7pm-8pm, you can sign up for a Thanksgiving meal. That meal will be available Thanksgiving Day from 9am-2pm. It includes a turkey and other traditional foods to make a meal at home.
Every Wednesday night, New Outreach Christian Center provides dinner to people in need. On Fridays, the Center provides groceries. Tuesdays and Thursdays, people who need help can put in their application at the Center and receive a referral to Loaves and Fishes.
To qualify, you need to take your ID, proof of income and proof of address.
New Outreach Christian Center is also looking for volunteers to help with the weekly events and for Thanksgiving Day. More than 100 people showed up to volunteer on Thanksgiving Day last year - Pastor Brenda Stevenson says she hopes to have that many volunteers again this year.
The center is located at 3900 Gossett Avenue in Charlotte. You can call (704) 398-1777 for more information.
