President, First Lady leave Charlotte

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Friday morning.

The Democratic National Convention wrapped up Thursday night. WBTV crews at the airport confirmed Air Force One and Air Force Two were both on hand.

President Obama and Mrs. Obama took a picture with Charlotte Mayor Foxx and his family before boarding Air Force One. It made liftoff just after 10 a.m.

Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Biden also flew out Friday morning.

The President and Vice President are scheduled to speak at a campaign event Friday afternoon in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The First Lady and Dr. Biden will also attend. Then, all four will make their way to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In Iowa, the President and Vice President will speak at a campaign event at the University of Iowa. From Iowa, the four will fly to St. Petersburg, Florida. They will stay there overnight.
