A Statesville man is under arrest after investigators say he admitted to using forged checks.
A woman told police she noticed four checks missing from her checkbook after the man visited her.
The woman's checks were used, and police looked over the surveillance video from the business were the checks were used. During the investigation, investigators found that the suspected obtained $1,480 in US Currency when he cashed the forged checks.
Police identified the suspect as Brennan Lynn Dagenhart, 28, of Stony Point. Detectives said Dagenhart admitted to larceny and passing fake checks. He is charged with larceny, forgery, and obtaining property by false pretense.
Officers arrested Dagenhart Wednesday. He was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center and given a $1,000 bond.
