CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
People traveling to Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention may have mixed feelings about the Queen City, but one local man wants to make sure that they get a friendly welcome while they are here.
Bob Green is walking around the city, "Just welcoming people to Charlotte."
Green, who works with the Metrolina Baptist Association near Bank of America Stadium, has lived in Charlotte for 20 years, and is full of that famous Southern Hospitality.
He says he has greeted people from Miami, California, Louisville, and Chicago. He has even been welcoming police who have come to Charlotte from all over the country to help out with the DNC.
"Everybody's been really nice, and they're good to meet," he said, "I just want people to feel welcome."
