Need a charge? Check out the Google hut!

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Where can you find a seemingly endless supply of electric outlets and almost every possible kind of phone charger while at the Democratic National Convention?

At the Google structure on the corner of West Third and South Tryon streets.

Even if you took away the G logo, the bright blues, yellows and reds of the recycled storage containers give away who built this makeshift hut.

The repurposed metal shipping containers create an electronic hub that allows visitors to sit in an air conditioned building and enjoy free Wi-Fi, a power source for electronics and a drink from the Google Bytes bar, which offers an assortment of beverages.

Google has designed the space for adults and children alike.

While adults gravitate towards the massage chairs or the secluded containers that are complete with cozy couches and lamps, the children seem fascinated with the photo booth and the out door game area that offers picnic tables with large Jinga games and corn hole painted in typical Google colors.

For those looking for a more technical Google experience there is a complete self driving Google car parked outside on the AstroTurf lawn. You can even peer into the glass stage and watch where Google broadcasts it's live YouTube feed.

The staff is more then happy to answer your questions and charge your phone, but they don't sell Google products or t-shirts inside this eco-friendly space...so you may have to Google where to find those items.

The hightech Google hang out will be available to enjoy until after the convention.

Once they leave Charlotte, the containers will be put back into storage and recycled into a new project.
