One of the most anticipated speakers for the Democrats takes the stage here in Charlotte in just a few hours.
Former President Bill Clinton is expected by many Democrats to give President Obama the push he needs to get ahead of Mitt Romney.
When Clinton finishes his speech, Democrats hope it has
the same impact it did for Obama in 2008. Convention staffers
spent Wednesday wrapping up final touches.

"He's the best president we've ever
had," South Carolina delegate Ruby James said of Clinton. "We ended up with a surplus and he just put us on the right road and made
sure the middle class was well taken care of and he opened the door for Barack
"We need him. We need them both."
But some Republicans, who have set up shop inside the DNC, say Obama bringing Clinton back is an act of desperation.
"Let's face it, Obama needs anything he
can get, so he's resorted to not running on his record of 2012, but on Bill

New Jersey resident and Obama
voter Tim Schlittner doesn't buy that argument.
"I would say, first of all, where was
George W. Bush at the Republican National Convention and they know that those 8
years were not good years for the country and him and Vice President Cheney
were missing in action because they don't want the American people to remember
how bad it was between 2000 and 2008," Schlittner said.
Also scheduled to
speak is New York Rep. Barney Frank, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, and Delaware Gov. Jack A. Markell.
