CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
Expect more road closures during the Democratic National Convention Thursday morning. The ramp at I-77 southbound and Morehead Street is scheduled to close at 530am Thursday and re-open at 2am Friday. Alternate routes would include I-77 to West Boulevard to Wilkinson Boulevard to Morehead Street.
DNC officials just announced around 10am today that President Barack Obama's acceptance speech will be moved to Time Warner Cable Arena and will not be held at Bank Of America Stadium. The WBTV Traffic team will keep you updated on how the change of venue will affect road closings in the area.
