The study said about half of spouses surveyed admitted they lied about the price of a purchase.
A third said they hadn't been honest about their debts and 15 percent admitted they had a hidden bank account.
It's not as easy to hide such things now as it was years ago. Cheating spouses can no longer just rip up bank statements or hide phone bills - it all lives on hard drives somewhere.
And then there's social media. A recent poll of divorce attorneys found 70 percent say Facebook is now their top source for damaging financial information.
When it comes to money and marriage, your best defense is a good offense. Make sure you take an active part in the family finances. Know what you have, know what you owe and make sure above all else that you get a chance to look at that tax return every year.
