One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.More >>

A York County woman has been charged with setting fire to her own house after a disturbance Monday night. Deputies were sent to the home of Nancy Ramsey on Apple Blossom Road in York around 6:30 p.m. They arrived to a house full of heavy smoke and witnesses who reported Nancy was still inside.
Rescuers were unable to get through the front door, and broke several windows before finding Ramsey inside the house. She was transported to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment. Two other people escaped the fire unharmed.
Ramsey faces third degree arson charges as a result of the fire.
