CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The organizers of a conservative alternative to the Democratic National Convention say their celebration is back on after they failed to meet their contractual obligations with Bojangles' Coliseum.

Organizers say Rock The Red will now be held at The Hunter Farm in Weddington on Sept. 5 at 4 p.m.

The Chris Lane Band and several others are set to perform. Speakers include U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney, R-SC, according to rockthered.com.

The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority said they canceled the contract with the event organizor Wednesday night because he could not meet the financial terms of the contract.

The event was to feature country music stars Travis Tritt, The Charlie Daniels Band and Lee Brice, according to the coliseum.

The show was set for Sept. 5, and was billed as a conservative alternative to the Democratic National Convention next week.

Records show that the oraganizor, Jason Lambert of Waxhaw, paid the initial deposit fee per the rental agreement but little else.

The coliseum is offering full refunds to anyone who purchased a ticket.

Late Thursday afternoon, Rock The Read 2012 issued a statement via Facebook, contradicting the Rental Agreement made public by the CRVA earlier in the day.
