CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Girl power will be on display this week in Charlotte as some of our country's top Olympians work with kids on how to live healthy lifestyles.
"Kids Health Goes Gold" will feature Gabrielle Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber plus swimming sensation world-record holders Rebecca Soni and Dana Vollmer and soccer stars Lauren Cheney and Abby Wambach.
The event focusing on children's health and wellness is presented by Edge Health and will also feature physician experts from Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS).
1986 US Gymnastics Champion Kristie Phillips, who now lives in Troutman, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the event and what the "Fierce Five" gymnasts lives must be like after winning on an international stage.
There are a limited number of tickets remaining for the event. For more information click here.
