CHARLOTTE NC (WBTV) - Drivers may be feeling a pain at the pump as some gas stations hit close to $4.00 a gallon in the Charlotte area.
It may cost you more to fill your car up, as gas prices continue to rise all around town.
We checked at several gas stations early Friday morning, and found in some parts of Charlotte, drivers are facing $4.00 a gallon.
It wasn't just in one part of the city either.
Gas stations in south Charlotte as well as on the east side of town are showing $3.99 on their marquees.
What was once hurricane Isaac is partly being blamed for the spike in oil prices.
The average, according to AAA, is $3.81 a gallon, and it's unclear right now why some gas stations have elected be close to twenty cents higher.
Historically, prices stabilize, and even go down around Labor Day.
The White House is also talking about opening up the national reserve to help with the cost of gas.
