Panthers Wide Receiver Louis Murphy is hoping his efforts throughout camp don't go unnoticed.
Murphy was acquired in a trade this off-season from Oakland, and No. 83 says he's been spending extra time working to develop on-field chemistry with Quarterback Cam Newton.
The two also played with each other when Cam was with the Florida Gators.
The combo recently teamed up for a touchdown score in Sunday's 17-12 win over the New York Jets.
With the top two wide receiver spots taken by Steve Smith and Brandon Lafell. Murphy could snab the #3 spot.
As head coach Ron Rivera continues to evaluate the position, Murphy is among many who will have the spotlight, during Thursday's final preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Murphy: "Every chance we get out there together is opportunity to get better as a unit and as a team, so we want to take advantage of all opportunities .. whether walk-through's or the 4th preseason game"
