LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) -
Deputies in Lincoln County are searching for a missing teenager who was last seen leaving his home to go to the rodeo.
Sheriff's detectives say Michael Dakota Horton, Jr., 16, of Cat Square Road was last seen at the residence around 9:30 p.m. when he left with some friends to go to the Triple B. Rodeo.
Michael has not spoken to family members since his disappearance and attempts to contact his cell phone have been unsuccessful.
He is a white male last seen wearing an aqua colored polo shirt, white and blue plaid shorts, a wide brimmed white hat and black Nike shoes.
He is 5 feet-eight inches tall, 240 pounds, black hair and blue eyes.
He is possibly in the counties of Catawba, Gaston and Lincoln and has been entered in National Crime Information Center database as missing.
