CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Agents with the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation say they have arrested a man believed to be the "bucket list bandit," who is responsible for robbing as many as ten banks across the U.S. in the last three months.
Michael Eugene Brewster, 54, of Pensacola, Florida, was pulled over in routine traffic stop in Roland, Oklahoma, on Thursday. He was driving a vehicle that was reported stolen in Florida, and had a fictitious Utah license plate, according to the FBI.
Brewster was dubbed the "bucket list bandit" because he allegedly handed bank tellers notes that said he only had a couple of months to live.
Brewster has allegedly robbed the following banks:
- 06/21/12: Chase Bank, 5250 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, CO.
- 06/27/12: Chase Bank, 1484 S. Milton Road, Flagstaff, AZ.
- 07/06/12: Pocatello Ireland Bank, 486 Yellowstone Ave., Pocatello, ID.
- 07/06/12: Wells Fargo Bank, 5603 S. 1900 West, Roy, UT.
- 07/20/12: Bank of America, 1209 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC.
- 8/03/12: BB&T, 2120 Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga, TN.
- 08/17/12: PNC Bank, 2217 W. Market Street, Bloomington, IL.
- 09/10/12: Huntington National Bank, Erie, Pennsylvania
