Panthers prepare for the Jets

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – The Carolina Panthers hit the practice field for an afternoon workout.

The cats are looking for their second preseason win against the New York Jets Sunday night. It will be a nationally televised game which adds a little pressure, but also gives the team the ability to show what they've been working on.

As the third preseason game, the starters will likely play three quarters of the game, more than they've played thus far. Steve Smith was not at practice; Coach said he had a doctor's appointment- guessing a sore foot. Jon Beason was active on the field but not in pads with the rest of the crew.
