South Mecklenburg High School graduate Ricky Berens visited WBTV's studio Tuesday.
The popular swimmer won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing (4x200m freestyle relay) and Berens added more medals to his arsenal at the 2012 games in London.
Gold in the 4x200m relay, and Silver in the 4x100m relay.
Berens talked to us about his Olympic experience, favorite moments and his girlfriend Rebecca Soni .. who's a 6-time Olympic medalist as well as a world record holder.
The biggest question of all, we talked about the 24-year old's future. After winning Gold earlier this month, Berens told a reporter he planned to retire. But he says he spoke to soon, and whether or not he compete's in the 2016 Olympics is yet to be determined.
