Police: Man held knife to clerk's throat, later arrested at chicken plant

Police in Burke County say they have arrested a man in connection with a robbery caught on tape where he held a knife against a convenience store clerk's throat.

The arrest happened late Monday night.

Officers say Xiong Moua was caught on surveillance video putting a knife against the store clerk's neck during a robbery on Sunday.

WBTV has learned that the clerk fired three shots at Moua, who eventually escaped.

Deputies said Moua showed up at the chicken plant, where he worked, on Monday night and police arrested him there.

Moua is charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

More charges may be pending.
