CHINA GROVE, NC (WBTV) –
The
Carson Cougars and all the other teams in the state have to wait until Friday
for their first taste of action are looking to redeem themselves after a 4 and
7 season last year.
Carson had a season
plagued with injuries which forced underclassmen to step up. Players like sophomore
quarterback Austin McNeil and freshman running back Brandon Sloop who was just
shy of a thousand yards rushing. They're back this year and Head Coach, Mark
Woody knows the season won't be easy in the North Piedmont Conference- but he's
confident in the team's ability.
