Young teen shot dead by friend

Hello again everyone, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 5:00PM—a 13-year old boy shot and killed by his 16-year old friend, according to police.  People in the community say given the nature of the relationship between the two boys, they don't understand how this could have happened.  Our reporter Dedrick Russell is talking to neighbors and police.  He says this friend, as it turns out, was no angel—and far from it.  He was arrested twice for possessing guns.

Charlotte native son Billy Graham is out of the hospital and home tonight.  Doctors say they're pleased with the 93-year old quick recovery from bronchitis.

Another sign the Democratic National Convention is near-- new billboards going up which say, "Sadistic God and Useless Savior."  An atheist group is protesting organized religion.

And when it comes to the DNC, tonight our business reporter Melissa Hankins is looking at how well the convention did economically four years ago in Denver, Colorado.
