SHELBY, CLEVELAND COUNTY (WBTV) - A woman lost control of her car Sunday afternoon and slammed into a gas station pump, which set off a fire.
Witnesses grabbed fire extinguishers to put out the flames. Lem Lynch Photography arrived at the scene on East Marion Street at Cherryville Road and found members of the fire department putting out hotspots.
Witnesses say the woman blew through the intersection and her car jumped the median. It headed straight for the Quik Stop. The gas pump was completely knocked over.
