You may have heard of the saying "there's nothing like warm apple pie" but what about peach cobbler?
Pastry Chef Josh Cain from Bar Cocoa at the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte visited the set of WBTV News Sunday Morning to show Sarah Batista and Ashley Batey how to make to some tasty peach cobbler.
The ingredients and directions are listed below:
Filling:
2 lbs peaches
1 cup A.P. Flour
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Toss the peaches in the Flour and sugar then mix with the spices.
Place into dish then top with the cobbler topping.
Bake at 350 for about 20 min.
Crust:
1 lb butter, melted
1½ lbs granulated sugar
¼ oz cream of tartar
¾ oz baking soda
4 eggs, beaten
1 ½ lbs cake flour
Combine all dry ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl.
Add eggs until incorporated.
Add melted butter and mix until combined.
Allow dough to rest in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
Shape dough to cover fruit.
Bake at 350◦F until golden brown.
