Drugs, guns seized in countywide investigation

Union County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 3832 Winchester Road in Monroe Thursday.

Sheriff Eddie Cathey stated this is the culmination of an investigation spanning several months, which was initiated in response to citizen complaints of drug-related activity at this address.

He stated that the residence has long been a problem in the community, with a long history of stolen goods, vehicles, and drugs being recovered from the property over the years.

His deputies have also responded to numerous assaults and animal complaints at this address. In Friday's search, detectives recovered stolen goods, two firearms, and numerous other drug-related evidence.

The resident, Marvin Louis Miller, 59, was arrested and charged with 3 counts each of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Sell Cocaine, Deliver Cocaine, and Felony Maintain Dwelling to Store and Sell Controlled Substances.  In addition, he was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He has a court date of October 9, 2012 in Union County and remains in the union County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
 
Jessica Ann Newton, 24, of Wingate, was present at the residence during the execution of the search warrant, and was arrested on unrelated order for arrest. 

Shortly after noon, Stallings Police and the Sheriff's SRT executed a second search warrant at 3909 Privette Road in Stallings. This address has also been the subject of numerous drug complaints and arrests.  Officers arrested Tenslow Duron Lee, 31, Friday, charging him with 4 counts each of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Sell Cocaine, and Deliver Cocaine.  Today's search of the residence yielded a quantity of crack cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. Lee has a court date of October 9, 2012 and remains in the Union County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

Anthony Ray Lee, 35, of Stallings, was also arrested in this incident, on unrelated order for arrest.
