Officers from multiple states will help CMPD police during DNC

Good morning. This is Christine Nelson with your first look at the stories we're covering on WBTV News This Morning at 4:30 a.m.

Exclusive: CMPD Rodney Monroe got into some nitty gritty details about how the city is going to be policed during the Democratic National Convention. The event is going to be using up a good part of the police force, but should the rest of the community worry about officers not being available in an emergency? We threw some tough questions at the chief. Our Cam Man Ron Lee is pulling the best sound right now for you to hear his answers.

Also, George Zimmerman is back in the news this morning. His attorneys say they have some critical evidence that could have the charges against him be dismissed! We'll reveal what they plan to do to get this evidence before a judge.

We always say if an unannounced knock at your door seems suspicious it probably is! The scam happening in our area that nearly duped a Lincoln County woman.

Plus, chances are you have a dishwasher in your home? We'll tell you about the one being recalled because it could possible catch on fire.

See you on the air!

Christine
