Columbia, SC (WBTV) -The Gamecocks continue practicing in Columbia getting ready for their season opener Thursday, August 30th at Vanderbilt.
Coach Steve Spurrier is ready to turn star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney loose on opposing teams by moving him all over the field in defensive sets.
The former South Pointe Stallion had 8 tackles as a freshman back-up last year, so imagine what he might be able to do as a starter this season roaming around the field creating one on one match-ups. Clowney says he's excited that South Carolina's defense will attack more this season as opposed to last year when they sat back and did more reads.
