Floods and water rescues tonight in Charlotte

Hello again friends, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom. 

Tonight at 11:00PM—flooding and water rescues caused by a heavy rain cell that parked itself over the Queen City tonight.  Eric Thomas says we got 2"-4" in a very short period of time.  He'll have the latest in his First Alert Forecast. 

He brought a big company to Charlotte's skyline, now Fernando Aguirre is leaving Chiquita as CEO.  The banana giant showed reduced earnings so the man who led the company for nearly nine years will help search for his successor.  Reporter Brigida Mack has more on what this surprise move means for Charlotte's business community. 

A man breaks into a McDonald's to pilfer the cash register.  When he can't get it open, he settles for the next best thing—stealing parfaits.  We'll show you the surveillance. 

The Mars rover "Curiosity" just sent back a color picture of the red planet's landscape.  No sign of Marvin Martian from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.
