The Carolina Panthers took Sunday off, before going back to Spartanburg for their final weeks of training camp, which ends August 15th.
Luke Kuechly continues to show improvement and is a bright spot for the defense.
The teams 9th overall pick is fast, highly skilled, smart, and athletic .. everything the cats hoped.
Kuechly and the rest of the defense are also benefiting from the return of offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinksi. Chud's deep and tricky playbook becomes a challenge for the D in practice, so that should make them smarter.
The team expects big things from defense this season with Linebacker Jon Beason back and healthy.
The Panthers are hoping everyone stays 100 percent.
Linebacker Thomas Davis still remains sidelined with a strained calf. He is happy that it's his calf, not his knee. Davis is trying to become the first known NFL player to return from three torn ACLs to the same knee.
