Assistance for people nearing the end of unemployment benefits

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - When an unemployed person faces the reality that their unemployment benefits are about to run out, it is a scary time.

That's where the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College R3 Center comes in.

It will offer several career development workshops and resume clinics for adults in the two-county area, free of charge.

On August 29th, at 9am, the center will focus on "Facing The End of Your Unemployment Benefits". The staff at the center says all of it's programs are well-attended so it's suggested you call in advance reserve a place.

Keri Allman, Director of the R3 Center, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the programs.
