Arson investigation underway in NoDa

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Investigators say a fire that destroyed a vacant home in the NoDa neighborhood was started on purpose.

Flames overtook the two-story house on Clemson Avenue Saturday night, leaving it complete destroyed. Firefighters estimate the damage at $100,000.

Captain Rob Brisley says a firefighter was treated at a local hospital for undisclosed injuries.

A few firefighters remained at the scene overnight to make sure the fire wouldn't re-kindle.

It's not clear exactly how the fire started.
