JCSU McGirt Kickoff Classic

Charlotte, NC (WBTV) -The Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls will celebrate their home football opener Saturday, September 15th at 4:00 against Concordia.

They're calling it the Eddie c. McGirt kickoff classic honoring their former head coach from 1959-1977. McGirt led them to their only CIAA football championship back in 1969.

The field inside the Irwin Belk complex is also named after McGirt.
