CONCORD, NC (WBTV) -
Three juveniles who were committed to the custody of the Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice and placed at Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center have escaped.
The juveniles, identified as, "Demaurea," last initial "G.", "Kivontae," last initial "B.", and "Akeem," last initial "M." were last seen at 850 Holshouser Road in Concord at 12 a.m. Friday.
WBTV has learned that the trio stole an employees personal car to make their escape. It is described as a burgundy Nissan Altima.
The Department has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.
Due to the unpredictability of juvenile behavior during an escape, the Department says they have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juveniles and the public.
The most recently taken photographs of the juvenile escapees are attached. If you see any of these juveniles, please contact local law enforcement.
