Charlotte, NC (WBTV) -Penske racing made the cut that some people expected today firing driver A.J. Allmendinger a month after he was suspended by NASCAR for failing a drug test.
Allmendinger's suspension became indefinite last week when his "B" sample confirmed the first result. He has entered NASCAR's Road to Recovey program, but that was not enough to save his job. Owner Roger Penske ultimately made the decision.
